Block Island Goes Green
The Town of New Shoreham is going green! In addition to being host to the nation’s first offshore windfarm, Block Island is taking a stand to help the environment — by banning plastic bags and balloons! Both bans went into effect in early 2018 through legislation passed by the Town Council.
